Sabah Seafood

Sabah, located on the northern part of the island of Borneo, is one of 13 states of Malaysia. Sabah is also known as the “Land Below the Wind” because it lies below the typhoon and monsoon belt, therefore setting the state safe from climatic disturbances. Its state capital is Kota Kinabalu, formerly known as Jesselton.

As 2/3 of Sabah border is surrounded by seas, namely the South China Sea along its northwest coast, the Sulu Sea to the northeast, and the Celebes Sea to the east, Sabah is truly blessed with an abundance of seafood, ranging from different types of fishes, prawns, crabs, shellfish, and so forth. Sabah’s seafood is well-known for its FRESHNESS. Truly, your travel to this part of the world isn’t complete if you haven’t tasted the excellent seafood it can offer.
